Paper Puppetry from the West End to Khayelitsha
One of Visual performance artist, Aja marneweck's specialisations is the development of Paper Puppetry. Trained in the art of paper puppetry by puppet master Gary Friedman over ten years ago, Marneweck creates and trains in this unique and extraordinary material. In 2009, Marneweck headed the development and design of the paper puppetry for Isango Portobello's new show Yimmimangaliso-The Mysteries ( Directed by Mark Dornford May and produced by Eric Abrahams) at the Baxter theatre centre and the Garrick Theatre, West End London.
She also holds workshops in this dynamic medium from school learners to professionals.
